Joshua's impressive career spans across various sectors, where he has collaborated with esteemed organizations such as the United Nations, Hollywood Celebrities, and influential business leaders to facilitate off-market transactions. Prior to this, Joshua honed his expertise in managing capital for high net worth individuals in the debt and equity markets for a decade. His dedication to continuous learning led him to earn a Masters of Science in Financial Services degree, MSFS, from the prestigious Institute of Business and Finance. 

Recognizing the importance of staying at the forefront of innovation, Joshua also obtained a Certification from Stanford University School of Engineering in Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies. Additionally, he expanded his knowledge in the global oil and gas industry by completing a Certification program at Arizona State University. Joshua's professional journey includes valuable experience on Wall Street and comprehensive training at the esteemed Union Bank of Switzerland. Joshua's current focus lies in business management in the energy sector, specifically catering to high net worth families who are seeking low-risk investments, tax-shelters, and monthly income. 

He specializes in developing investment strategies that capitalize on waste streams and align with a circular economy approach. Beyond his professional achievements, Joshua's passion for making a positive impact on the world is evident. As a former Merchant Marine, he co-founded a non-profit organization during his youth, successfully raising significant capital for endangered species.

This non-profit organization made history as the first of its kind to operate on the Mall in Washington D.C. Furthermore, Joshua served as a delegate for the United Nations RIO-20, furthering his commitment to global causes. In his personal life, Joshua has dedicated over 31 years to the practice of martial arts, showcasing his discipline and perseverance.

Stan Eschner

Senior Geologist

Stan Eschner is a distinguished figure in the oil and gas industry, renowned for his extensive contributions and wealth of experience. As a registered geologist and an honorary lifetime member of the Pacific Section of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, Stan's presence is deeply felt in industry circles. His leadership as a Director of the California Independent Petroleum Association and his membership in the Society of Economic Paleontologists and Mineralogists further underscore his stature in the field.

With a proven track record as a resource finder and developer, Stan's journey began as an independent micropaleontologist, paving the way for his remarkable career. His tenure as a Production Geologist with Shell proved transformative, highlighted by the discovery and development of the prolific Belgian Anticline PML Oceanic sand oil pool. This accomplishment marked the inception of a legacy that would continue to flourish.

Upon joining Occidental, Stan achieved groundbreaking success. His mid-sixties discovery of the East Beverly Hills and Sawtelle oil fields in the Los Angeles Basin, which collectively yielded over 170 million barrels of oil, stands as a testament to his visionary approach. Serving as Vice President of Domestic Operations at Occidental, he played an instrumental role in the exploration and development of numerous oil and gas fields, amassing a remarkable total of 500 million barrels of oil and 2.5 TCF of gas across 50 fields.

Stan's illustrious career at Occidental culminated with his promotion to Vice President and Chief Geologist, worldwide, before his early retirement in 1983. Undeterred by retirement, he co-founded Trio Petroleum LLC, where his leadership continues as Chairman. The South Salinas Valley Project represents the zenith of many successful ventures undertaken by Trio Petroleum LLC.

Educationally, Stan holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Geology from UCLA. His unparalleled contributions to the industry, combined with his visionary leadership, have shaped the landscape of oil and gas exploration and development, leaving an indelible mark that continues to inspire and guide the Energy Development Partners team.

Terry Eschner 

Registered Geologist, Exploration Expert

Terry Eschner stands as an exceptional registered geologist, recognized for his remarkable abilities in identifying and nurturing oil and gas opportunities to fruition. With a career marked by significant achievements, Terry's impact on the industry is profound. His aptitude for uncovering new field discoveries and revitalizing mature fields showcases his exceptional talent.

Terry commenced his career at Occidental, spending two formative years engaged in geologic field work in Bolivia and Argentina. His quest for knowledge led him to earn a Master of Arts in Geology, after which he embarked on a decade-long journey with Chevron. His tenure at Chevron spanned roles in exploration, production geology, geophysics, and project management - all contributing to his exceptional skill set.

Educationally, Terry holds an M.A. in Geology from the University of Texas, Austin, as well as a B.S. in Geology from San Diego State University. His enduring passion for geology and his expertise have translated into a transformative career, where he continues to shape the trajectory of oil and gas exploration and development.

Gary Horace 

Drilling Operations

With an illustrious career spanning 48 years, Gary Horace is an industry stalwart whose journey began as a roustabout in 1970. His unwavering dedication and tireless efforts paved the way for 42 remarkable years in drilling operations at the supervisory level. A testament to his profound experience, Gary has been an integral part of the drilling of approximately 4,000 wells. Throughout his career, he has exhibited a hunger for knowledge, participating in extensive special education courses focusing on drilling, completions, drilling fluids, and well control. This dedication has equipped him with a wealth of expertise in organizing and supervising drilling operations, positioning him as a distinguished authority in his field.

Gary's contributions have reverberated across the industry, as he provided drilling supervision services to majors including Occidental, Texaco, and Chevron, alongside numerous independent oil and gas companies. His extensive experience and remarkable proficiency have made him a sought-after professional in the realm of drilling. 

As a co-owner and Operations & Drilling Superintendent at Trio Petroleum LLC, Gary continues to be a driving force. His involvement spans all aspects of drilling oil and gas wells, as well as overseeing remedial procedures on existing wells and operations in producing fields. His impact resonates deeply, shaping the very foundations of the Energy Development Partners team. Gary Horace's journey is a testament to the power of dedication, perseverance, and a commitment to excellence in the oil and gas industry.

Nabil El Shaari 

Senior Petroleum Engineer 

 An accomplished professional in the oil and gas industry, established his consulting firm, Wellbore Solution LLC, in November 2019. With a remarkable career spanning several decades, Nabil's journey has been marked by significant contributions and leadership roles within renowned organizations.

Nabil's tenure at Occidental Petroleum began in 2011 in Bakersfield, California, which later evolved into California Resources Corporation. During his time there, Nabil held a series of pivotal positions, including Senior Completions Engineering Advisor, Chief Engineer for Completions and Well Stimulation, and Production Operations Engineering Consultant.

Before his time at California Resources/Occidental, Nabil spent an impressive 19 years at BJ Services Company U.S.A., entirely within California. His journey at BJ Services was characterized by ascending responsibilities, culminating in his role as Pacific Region Technical Manager. Nabil embarked on his oil industry career back in 1987 with Dowell Schlumberger after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Montana Tech. Throughout his career, Nabil has been an author and co-author of numerous technical papers and holds a patent.

Nabil's expertise has been widely recognized by the industry. He was honored as the 2014 SPE Western Regional recipient of the Completions Optimization and Technology award, as well as the recipient of the 2016 SPE Western Region Production Operations Award. Nabil is distinguished as an exceptionally versatile engineer in well completions and workover operations, renowned for his practical experience and adeptness at collaborative teamwork. His skills encompass project management, team leadership, and an unwavering commitment to excellence and integrity.

An innovative thinker, strategist, and problem solver, Nabil possesses a visionary outlook and a penchant for devising unconventional business and engineering solutions. His ability to set strategic goals in alignment with broader project objectives is coupled with a talent for assembling high-performing teams. Nabil's network extends to California's service providers and suppliers, and he boasts an in-depth understanding of the state's business landscape and regulatory framework. His expertise in well stimulation and hydraulic fracturing further positions him as an industry-respected authority.

David Mercier

Senior Petroleum Engineer 

 David Mercier is a seasoned professional who has left an indelible mark on the oil and gas industry. Throughout his career, he has held a series of pivotal roles, each contributing to his remarkable journey of success. Formerly, Mr. David Mercier held the esteemed position of Chief of Development and Reserves at Synergy Oil Company, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the company's growth trajectory. He also collaborated extensively with an investment group specializing in oil and gas acquisitions, further solidifying his reputation as a key player in the industry.

Since January 2021 and continuing to the present day, Mr. Mercier has assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer at Enventix Inc., where his financial acumen and strategic leadership have been instrumental in the company's ongoing success. Prior to his current role, David Mercier's tenure included significant contributions at Occidental Petroleum and California Resources Company (CRC). From November 2010 to December 2019, he played a pivotal role in the development of the Wilmington oil field located in Long Beach, California. His expertise was also tapped during his time at Bonanza Creek Energy, where he served as Vice President of Corporate Development from January 2008 to January 2010. During this period, Mr. Mercier was involved in diverse aspects of the oil business, including guiding the company through the process of going public.

Mr. Mercier's influence extends beyond his immediate roles. He was previously Chief of Finance and Accounting at the California State Lands Commission (CSLC), where he introduced an innovative oil price-based sliding scale royalty formula for the Huntington Beach oil field in June 1995. This groundbreaking initiative showcased his knack for pioneering solutions. David Mercier's expertise has been widely acknowledged in the industry. He has published numerous technical papers on profit sharing, contributed case studies for textbooks, and delivered technical presentations on a global scale. His accomplishments led to his nomination as a distinguished lecturer for the 2021 Society of Petroleum Engineers. In recognition of his exceptional contributions, Mr. Mercier received the 2020 Orange County Petroleum Engineering Award for his development achievements while at CRC.

Mr. Mercier is highly educated and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Southern California (USC). Additionally, he possesses an M.B.A. with a focus on finance and has been Certified in Risk Management (CRM) through the Strategic Decision and Risk Management Program at Stanford University. Notably, he graduated with honors from the Business and Financial Modeling Program at Wharton Business School, reflecting his commitment to excellence in education and professional development.
